Christian Formation 2005-2006

The new school year kicks off September 18th with Christian formation classes for all age groups.  A complete schedule for the year will be available on September 11th at the Welcome Back breakfast.

Bible Study

The Bible study group meets in the guild room and all adults are invited to join.

Adult Forum

The adult forum has a diverse offering of subjects this year covering spirituality, scripture, and Christian living today among other things.  The forum runs about 45 minutes every Sunday morning, with opportunity for discussion and reflection around issues that impact our lives every day.  While in general topics carry over from week to week, all are invited to join us at any time.

Children and Youth

We use the Living the Good News  curriculum for our children and youth.  This is a lectionary based curriculum of the Episcopal Church with programs for age three through 12th graders.  Please plan to join us September 18th for the first day of classes.  Classes start at 9:00 .

Nursery care is available each Sunday from 8:45 until 11:30 for those children too young for classes.

Junior Church - children thru 3rd grade

Any adults who are interested in being a substitute teacher or a helper, please contact Steve or Sue Robertson at 792-5757

Special events during the 2005/2006 year:

The Halloween party will be on Saturday October 29th at the church.  Join us for a traditional favorite for kids of all ages.

The first Sunday in advent – November 27 – brings the family advent wreath making opportunity.  No classes are held that day as we gather as families to make our advent wreath.

St. Nicholas visits during services on December 4, be sure to be present for his visit.

December 18 brings the pageant rehearsal after church services.  All children are invited to participate.

All Parish Retreat

In March 2006, we will have a wonderful opportunity to participate in an all parish retreat at the Bishop Claggett Center.  The Bishop Claggett Center is the diocesan conference center for the diocese of Maryland, in Buckeystown, Maryland .  The retreat will start Friday evening with supper and end after lunch on Sunday.  This weekend is geared for parishioners of all ages.  Child care will be provided so that parents of young children can participate fully.  Activities, games, study, worship and fellowship appropriate for all age groups is being planned.  If you have never experienced a retreat – this is your chance.  If you already know how powerful a time of retreat is, you know to reserve the weekend now.   Mark your calendars, sign up in the parish hall, and plan to attend.
