Youth Group - EYC

Mission statement: A community of young worshippers committed to spiritual growth through deeper religious understandings, increased spirituality, and steadfast relationships with one another.
The Episcopal Youth Church group at St John’s is open to anyone in grades 6 through 12. Our church is blessed with students from many school districts and areas across York County. Our goal is to bring the youth in our parish and community together for fun, fellowship and service. Examples of past activities include: White Water Rafting trips, navigating a Corn Maze at night with flashlights, indoor Rock Climbing, a trip in New York city to assist a Soup Kitchen serving up to 1000 people daily, and participation in the CROP Walk. The EYC group provides a fun environment for youth to enjoy fellowship and help the parish and community. A listing of upcoming is shown below. January, 2008
Sunday 01/20 @ 11:30 am – 2008 Mission Trip Planning Meeting
We will have a mission trip planning meeting on Sunday January 20th after the 10 am service, if you or your youngsters are at all interested in going on a mission trip this summer to the Gulfcoast region, please plan on attending. The trip is open to all 13 years and older by August 8th. We have a lot to talk about most importantly fundraising and working on some of the logistics. If you are unable to make the meeting, but are interested, please contact Father Sean Leonard.
Sunday 01/27 @ 6:00 pm – Youth Fellowship Meeting
Youth fellowship night at the home of Frances Menzer. Dinner will be provided. Please RSVP to Father Sean Leonard by January 20th.

Sunday 02/03 @ 11:15 am – Souper Bowl Sunday
Youth will be collecting for a local charity after the 10:00 am service.
Tuesday 02/05 @ 5:30 pm – Mardi Gras
Annual Mardi Gras celebration. The Associate Vestry is looking for help with dinner. If you can volunter, please contact Father Sean Leonard. Please arrive by 5:30 pm.
Sunday 02/24 @ 6:00 pm – Youth Fellowship Meeting
